Sooooo Happy!

We told Aydan he is going to go on a fun trip in the van, and that he is going to see BOTH sets of Grandparents....and his uncle Chad.....and as you can see....he is VERY happy and excited! So happy to be seeing all of you soon!

I found my toes!

This week Aydan has found his toes to be quite amusing. He is sitting up without support and having fun playing with toys. Here he is in his first game of basketball!

A fun weekend!

We had a fun weekend with aunt LeaAnn! We all had fun hanging out, going to Babies R Us and to church. LeaAnn taught Julie how to make her famous cheesecake...yum! She had fun with Aydan....and even watched him Saturday night so Mom and Dad could have a date night!

We went to a really cool hawaian/japanese restaurant and then to the movie "The Dark Night" which Joshua loved...and Julie thought was disturbing!

Aydan also graduated to a bigger carseat this weekend! That infant seat is no match for our 20 pound linebacker!

What has Aydan been up to?

What has our little Aydan been up to? Here are some pics to give you an idea! He has started to get really good at what Josh calls "gorilla sitting." He's sitting up pretty well by himelf! He is also beginning the put-everything-in-my-mouth-phase, and is reaching for toys, food...and anything that looks interesting. Just this week he has discovered how much fun it is to lean WAY back while sitting in his exer-saucer and look at the world from upside down!

Aydan's 5th Month!

We have had a busy month at the Clarke house! Highlights have been having grandparents and great-grandparents, and Josh's sister, Tricia at our house! We also went to San Antonio and helped our niece, Sidney, celebrate her 1st birthday! We had a great time! Happy Birthday, Sidney!

Josh is staying very busy this month with work. Julie is working 2 days a week, and will continue the lab assistant work 2 or 3 days a week beginning in September.

We are looking forward to heading to Michigan in a few weeks for the Frantz family reunion! This will be Aydan's first major road trip!

Fine Dining at the Clarkes

On the menu for the very first time....rice cereal! Aydan has been trying to grab food out of our hands, and has been particularly interested in watching us eat. So we decided to let him try some rice cereal. The verdict??? Uhh...he's not sure what to think of it yet. We'll keep you posted!

Aydan has been working on his signature "look" since he was just a few weeks old. We are calling it the "Elvis"...we think you will see the resemblence.

Beach Bum

Aydan had a fun adventure 4th of July weekend! He went to Galveston and met his great aunt LeaAnn and uncle Jim. He had so much fun with them! He went to the ocean for the first time, got his first hat, and caught his first fish (okay....well...he didn't catch a fish....but he did really like the water!) He also got to see a train go by on the railroad bridge where uncle Jim works. Here are some pictures of our little beach bum!

Grandmas and Grandpas and aunties...oh my!

Aydan has had a very fun summer visiting with family! He took his first plane trip in June to Iowa to visit Grandma and Grandpa Frantz and uncle Chad. He visited with Grandma and Grandpa Clarke, and Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Husted a few weeks ago. His aunt Tricia visited just last weekend! He has had such a fun and busy summer!
